What's new?
The lack of driver support for quite some of our legacy spectrometers and components enabled us to implement some simplifications because the corresponding options could be dropped from the entire 5.x series. Besides numerous small improvements and enhancements in all parts of the application, the removal of no longer used programme functions, and the constant integration of new features supporting newly introduced or improved instrument components, there are the following outstanding features in the new version.

Compared to Version 5.5

• Transient Recalibration and application to depth profiling measurements.
• Several sample measurements may be deleted at once in the Bulk Analysis module.
• Automatic Saving can be activated for bulk analyses.

Compared to Version 5.4

• Up to 10 channels can be monitored simultaneously in the Real Time Display of the depth profiling analysis.
• In Depth Profiling Analysis, measuring a quality control sample may be explicitly demanded.
• The formulae for the Custom Table in the depth profiling analysis now also supports a function to return the final pressure attained during the measurement which can be used for evaluations.
• Monochromator: The data obtained during scanning are preprocessed in order to enable a more reliable reprofiling.
• Qualities Database: Data added for several Cu, Al, Ti and Mg alloys.
• Licence Management: Without internet connection, it is now possible to return an electronic licence manually.
